This webpage is a list of books, resources, and tools that have aided my recovery from Alcoholism. Everything on this site are resources I have used, read, watched, or listened to that I think are good. It is by no means the limit of what is available to aid in your sobriety. There is more than this out there. I encourage you to go find other resources that will help you.

4th Step Template - Excel - This is based off the sheet presented in the Big Book on page 65. There are tabs for Resentments, Fears, and other items.
Chuck's Daily Meditation - I created this shortly after finishing inpatient treatment and has helped me over the years. There are certain ideas I need to remind myself of daily. I compiled prayers and meditations from many different sources.
Thought for the Day - This is the daily meditation from the book 'Twenty Four Hours a Day.'
Johny T 4/19/2024 - I saw this guy locally on 4/26/2025. He is a North Floridian. He is super old school AA. It was good talk. He also did a Big Book study focused on Steps 8, 9, 10, & 11--it was really good. If you ever get a chance to hear this guy, do it.

Joe and Charlie Big Book Study - This is a great listen. Joe and Charlie walk the listener through the Big Book. They explain the text as we read along. They used to do this over a weekend with a large group of people. They allowed recordings whenever they gave this talk and there are many versions much like Grateful Dead concerts.
164 and More - This is site allows the user to search for specific words and phrases with in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. I have found this very useful over the years.
Silkworth.net - This site is a repository of old documents, articles and audio/visual materials assocated with AA. It is a fascinating resource to do some research about AA and it's history.
Dr. Bob and the Good Old Timers - This is one of the 1st historical AA books I read after getting sober. I really like the last 2/3s of the text. The 1/3 of the book is a fairly extensive drunk-a-log of Bobs drinking adventures. I got tired of it and skipped ahead to the good stuff.
Writing the Big Book - Excellent book. Dives into extreme detail all of the efforts needed by Bill and his friend Hank to write and fund the publishing of the Big Book.
Drunks: An American History - I listened to the unabridged audio version of this book. It is REALLY good. It is an objective historians view of alcoholism in the United States. The 2nd half of the book details the modern history of AA and recovery. It starts with Bill and Bob. Then moves into events from the 1950s through the 2010s--I have not seen this covered in any other historical writings.
The Urge - I listened to this book. It has a detailed history of addiction. It covers alcohol and drugs from early times to present. This history parallels the personal addiction story of a Psychiatrist MD. It kept me engaged throughout the book.
